Summary: This looks like an old house where a 2nd floor was added later on. It has some real quirkiness to it. There was some real effort put in place to make it presentable, so a lot of credit goes to the owner. Biggest plus is there was no smell. I got the impression that this is located in the less affluent neighborhood of KC, but the neighborhood didn't look dangerous at all. My wife who's barely 100lbs felt comfortable going on morning walks around the neighborhood alone. The ad says it sleeps 6. but basically number 6 will be sleeping in the living room as the 3rd bedroom can only hold 1. There are window AC units all over so the house (upper level of a duplex) was nice and cool during our stay. The kitchen's hood fan was out of order. It shared an outlet with the AC unit that was there, so I had to unplug the AC to plug in the hood fan. but only the light worked. The supplied pots and pans were adequate for any cooking that I was doing, but the knives were pretty dull. The hum of the AC units pretty much provided white noise for sleeping, but a neighbor's music did keep my kids up one night.
