"Hillside on Benton" is a true home-away-from-home! You'll be staying at a fully restored 1950s custom-brick build overlooking Historic Route 66 and Downtown Waynesville, Missouri. The convenient location connects directly to local downtown businesses, restaurants, parks, walking trails, ADA crosswalks, a free outdoor gym, a seasonal splash pad, a natural spring, and several access points along the Roubidoux River.
As dual-Army veterans, this was our personal home for years before we decided to welcome guests to experience the quaint small-town Americana vibes just like we did for years. Our renovation was extensive with new: insulation, plumbing (including; water softener/ filter, and one water heater for each floor) electrical, HVAC, windows, doors, flooring, paint, fixtures, custom accents, furnishings including all new mattresses... and more.
On Approach/Parking:
Hillside on Benton has an oversized driveway with parking up to 6+ including a basketball hoop as well as a universal EV charger. There are an additional 4-5 parking spots along the sidewalk in the front of the house. The street itself is on a hillside, so there is a slope along the front yard. The two mature trees in the front of the house are Gum Trees and their gumballs can be a tripping hazard if you're not careful.
Exterior: There is a fully fenced backyard with a firepit and a sandy area for little ones to play/dig. There are monitored exterior cameras for everyones safety and security. There are several seating areas along the back deck and smoking is permitted outside only. Dogs are permitted with a non-refundable pet fee, however they're not permitted on the furniture. (dog begs/crates/toys provided)
Main Floor: The Main floor has two full bedrooms, a sunroom with a pull-out sleeper sofa, and 1 full bath/ 1 1/2 bath.
Upper Floor: The upper floor contains two full bedrooms and 1 full bath. Each of the bedrooms upstairs have a twin over full bunk and a twin over twin daybed which can pull out to become a king bed upon request.
