Summary: The room was not properly cleaned. The closet shelf, which is below eye level and easy to see, had a plastic bag with a half-eaten banana with the pel left in it by, presumably, a prior guest. This was disgusting to see and have to throw out ourself. Also, the room’s window was left open, making the room freezing when we got there as the temperature was approximately 30 degrees. We quickly closed the window and the room quickly warmed up. Also, when we showered in the morning, I discovered there was no soap in the bottle marked “body soap.” The bottle was empy. We found it hard to believe that the cleaning staff didn’t check to see there was soap in the bottle, as there were no bars of soap that we still usually see in hotel rooms. These problems were very disappointing.
