Newly renovated lake home on the shores of Lake Charles West with unbeatable sunrise AND sunset views! Nestled at the end of a wooded drive on a small, private fishing lake in Angola, Indiana with Pokagon State Park in the backyard. Across the lake behind the trees sits Lake James. Brand new furniture, beds, up to date appliances & HOT TUB... Serenity's Edge is a perfect retreat to spend time with your family and friends while enjoying every aspect of nature!

We like to describe our place as a charming, cozy, lake house on a beautiful private lake in the woods perfect for a relaxing stay with friends or family.

Book for just a weekend or stay for a few weeks... Our place is tucked away at the end of a wooded drive, yet is conveniently located just steps away from scenic Pokagon State Park and the charming town of Angola.

We can accommodate up to 7 guests, however if you'd like to have additional friends & family here, there is space outdoors for a few tents or a smaller RV (any guests over 7 must be approved by the hosts in advance).

We DO NOT allow pets INSIDE the home what so ever due to home owner’s extreme pet allergy.

OUTDOORS
Two kayaks with paddles and an aluminum v-bottom boat with oars are available for use. You are welcome to bring a car/12v battery and a trolling motor for the v-bottom boat. Life jackets are also provided. We will provide a season pass to visit Pokagon State Park. Trail 6 walking trail is our backyard.

Our 17 acre lake is electric motor only and for use at your own risk. Rules and regulations are provided elsewhere.

PATIO SPACE
There is a hot tub located on the sunset side of the house on the large square patio. Weekly maintenance and inspections are preformed by homeowners. Hot tub instructions are included in the welcome guide upon arrival.

BATHROOM
When you enter the residence from the roadside entrance, you will come into the living room as it is an open style space, looking forward through the slider door at the water. Main bathroom is left door in hallway to the right. Other Bathroom is in master bedroom to the left upon entering home.

KITCHEN
The kitchen has been designed with style, comfort, and meal preparation functionality. The kitchen is equipped with common household utensils and electronics. If there is something specific you are looking for just ask and we’ll let you know if it is available.

LIVING ROOM
The living room has a couch and a loveseat and a 70" Smart TV with wifi.

MASTER BEDROOM
Master has a queen bed with it's own private bathroom and smart TV with a spacious closet.

GUEST BEDROOM
Guest bedroom has a full size bed and great sunset views.

GUEST/KIDS BUNKROOM
The bunkroom has a twin and a full size bed with hanging closet rod storage, also with views of the lake and sunsets.

The whole property is available for guest use - parking lot, home, yard, patios, and firepit area. Since we are part of an association we do ask guests to give the lake the utmost respect. No more than 4 people fish at a time if on the lake boating or kayaking and up to 7 people can fish from the shore. All is Catch and Release! There is a storage closet behind the main entry door of the home that is for owner storage and off limit to guests. There is plenty of room to park a truck and trailer with boat, rv, etc. if you plan to use your boat on the other all sports lakes in the area.

In the winter four wheel drive vehicles are recommend as the drive to the property has some substantial elevation changes!

All guests must agree to our house rules prior to booking. Please take time to review them in advance and let us know if you have any questions that you would like to discuss before your arrival.

Serenity's Edge on Lake Charles is not for parties or events. Guests are limited to the people listed in the reservation, unless separate arrangements are made to make sure your plans align with acceptable use. Out of respect for the residential community and our neighbors, this is not intended to be a party house.

There are three security cameras on the property for the safety of guests and our home. There is a camera above the front and back door that monitors both entrances, as well as a camera on the left side of the home that monitors the driveway. The hot tub area is not in view of any of the cameras.
